Bio

Owayne knows better than almost anyone what sport can do for a young person's life. A decorated University of Virginia track & field athlete and Montego Bay, Jamaica native, he was a three-time ACC triple jump champion, a 2023 NCAA Indoor bronze medalist with a personal best of 16.69m, and a five-time All-American who still sits in the Cavalier record books. He later served as President of Run Charlottesville and earned a Master of Public Policy from UVA's Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy. Today he works in data science and engineering at Gnosis Freight, bringing technical firepower to RYC's platform and a first-hand conviction that showing up for kids changes lives.
