Bio
Mary is the heartbeat of Run Your City, having co-founded it as 'Run Charlottesville' with teammate Maddie Rennyson while both were runners on the University of Virginia track & field and cross country teams. An Oak Park, Illinois native, she studied systems engineering with minors in computer science and applied math, and became the first School of Engineering student in the 26-year history of UVA's prestigious Sky Alland Scholarship to win it. Now pursuing her MBA at Stanford after roles at Bain & Company and children's healthcare startup Bluebird Kids Health, Mary's throughline never changes: every child, regardless of background, deserves the confidence and community that come from sport.
